Clients Day - Monday Nov 7th This year we will not be hosting a formal Clients Day. Rather, a variety of meeting rooms will be available for any groups or meetings that attendees may wish to schedule on their own, in conjunction with the conference. Scheduled meetings include: Establishing Ecological Networks on the Colorado Plateau: Organized by Neil Cobb. The meeting will discuss the new arrangement of regional observatories and specifically Domain 13, which encompasses the Colorado Plateau and the Southern Rockies. National Park Service All-taxa Biodiversity Inventory: Organized by Neil Cobb. The purpose of the meeting is to further explore the establishment of a All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory Program (ATBI) for National Park Service units on the Colorado Plateau. NBII (National Biological Information Infrastructure) Southwest Information Node: Organized by Neil Cobb. The SWIN meeting will provide a overview of the function of SWIN, followed by a discussion of how SWIN can work with ongoing projects and how people can plan to collaborate with SWIN in the future. Restoration of ponderosa pine ecosystems in BLM and USFS Wilderness Areas, and NPS backcountry: the 1964 Wilderness Act and the paradox of maximizing both natural and untrammeled conditions. Organized and facilitated by David Ostergren. The goal is to provide a forum for interagency discussion on the challenges and opportunities that wilderness provides in the context of restoring ecosystems, designed for people who are responsible for managing fire dependent ecosystems in northern Arizona wilderness. Colorado Plateau Cooperative Ecosystems Studies Unit (CPCESU) Partners Social: Organized by Rod Parnell and Ron Hiebert. This evening social will provide an opportunity for CPCESU members to interact, and to with meet representatives of the five new partners to the CPCESU.
