Southwestern Willow Flycatcher Breeding Habitat along the Rio Grand, near San Marcial, New Mexico

Habitat is composed of a dense multi-storied mixture of tamarisk and native vegetation, ranging from 20-30 feet high. The patch is adjacent to the Rio Grande, and may be flooded during high water years but dry later in the season.
