About APRS

Sample Data

The APRS tool is used by downloading the software and installing it on your computer. It has a datasheet with 23 questions that should be answered for each non-native plant occurring in or near the site of concern. The questions are organized into three sections:

  • I - Site characteristics
  • II - Species characteristics
  • III - Difficulty of control.

You can find answers for many of these questions for a species on its SWEPIC weed species page.

  • The output of APRS is:
    • Data sheets for each species (Sample Datasheet)
    • Ranking of species by level of impact, potential to be invasive or feasibility of control
    • Graphics showing impact, potential to be invasive, & feasibility of control for a suite of species (Sample Graphic)
    • Lists of species by user determined groupings.

Please contact Kathryn Thomas regarding any questions.
