APRS Installation Instructions for Version 7.1

For Windows Only

  1. Download APRS to a temporary directory, such as C:\TEMP. You may have to create the temporary directory first.
  2. In that temporary directory, extract files from the archive (.ZIP) file by clicking on it.
  3. Run the SETUP.EXE file that appears in the temporary directory.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen. The default directory for your application will be C:\Program Files\ALIEN PLANTS RANKING SYSTEM; you may put it elsewhere if you wish. But make sure the directory you use does not contain a previous version of APRS.
  5. Now the temporary files in the C:\TEMP can be deleted.  These include extrv7_1.zip,EXOTIC.CAB,setup.exe, and SETUP.LST.
  6. Your application should be installed correctly. Run it.

When the application is run for the first time only, it will do some final organization of its files.
